Greta Cahill
Senior Greta Cahill is one of the most standout, exuberant personalities this school has ever seen, completely encapsulating the title of Outstanding Osprey. She embodies Animas spirit, while being an excellent student and friend to others. At any school event, Greta is the first to the mic to display her enthusiasm. She is socks and Chacos joyfully jumping into puddles on a rainy day.
“Greta’s energy makes Greta, and whenever I hang out with her it makes life way more fun” says senior Clara Wolf, one of Greta’s closest friends. “She makes me want to be a better person. My New Year’s resolution was to take advantage of new opportunities and Greta holds me accountable to that. She helps me to be the best version of myself while delivering ongoing support to her peers.” Greta seems to continuously have an upbeat spirit, spilling her secret on how: “You have to find at least one thing to get excited about throughout the day. This is the type of attitude that would be beneficial to your own mental health and helping out the surrounding atmosphere.” Senior humanities teacher Sara Price is thrilled she gets the opportunity to teach Greta daily. She remarked, “Greta literally writes ‘Yay!’ on all her assignments. This is a person who sees the joy in life and in everything. She exudes energy in a way that makes everyone joyful, which is what really encapsulates Greta. She’s loved by everyone and she has a passion to make a real difference in the world.” Senior Caleb Gates shared, “[Greta] has that passion to inspire people and brings excitement into things that would otherwise be dull. She’s like a camp counselor that makes you feel like you’re always at an awesome summer camp.” Greta is passionate about climate justice and intends to major in environmental studies, hopefully at Colorado College. She is using her senior project to explore how the climate movement can best develop strong youth leadership. Greta is known for her positive energy and is loved by Ospreys throughout all grades. Not only is she known for her exceptionally optimistic attitude, she also has a kind heart, shuttling students in her iconic white minivan to help them escape the cold morning walk from the lower parking lot. Greta Cahill, adored by students and staff alike, is an impressive human with effervescent energy that brings a warm, welcoming, and joyful atmosphere to Animas. |
